Dr. Bharat A. Salve is a consultant diabetologist and specialist in thyroid and metabolic disorders, practising in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra.
Over the past decade he has helped more than 20,000 patients reach sustainable health outcomes through individualised clinical care and lifestyle change. His approach is unhurried: understand the whole person, measure what matters, and treat with the smallest effective intervention.
His medical foundation comes from India's leading institutions. He completed his M.B.B.S. at B.J. Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune, followed by an M.D. in Clinical Pharmacology at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai.
He then took his C. Diab. diploma in diabetology at S.L. Raheja Hospital, Mumbai — the regional headquarters of the International Diabetes Federation for South-East Asia — and holds a certificate in the management of thyroid disorders from the Chellaram Diabetes Institute and the Public Health Foundation of India.
His clinical philosophy centres on holistic, evidence-based management of chronic metabolic conditions — diabetes, obesity, lipid disorders, hypertension and thyroid disease — combining modern pharmacological therapy with intensive lifestyle modification.
